‘Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City’  is a regeneration project designed to celebrate the city’s unique 800 year maritime heritage by creating a “sense of place, identity and belonging” across the city.

With a budget of c.£30m, the project was designed to refurbish four historic maritime sites and two historic ships, maximising tourism opportunities, as well as giving local people the opportunity to explore Hull’s global links.

Forever Consulting provided an economic impact assessment by demonstrating three scenarios exploring tourism impacts, employment impacts and impacts of spend on goods and services as well as the resulting GVA and job creation delivered by the project.  Our economic impact assessment supported Hull City Council’s successful Phase 2 bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
